Sustainabilty and Ethics
From the very beginning of starting this business, ethics was going to be at the forefront. Coming from a line of factory workers and tradesmen, we wanted to use this opportunity not only to make fine furniture and show off our skills as carpenters, we also wanted to use this platform to try to enact some social change and be as ecologically friendly as we could.

Although we are a small business, we believe that grass-roots work and activism is the key to social change. We do this in a number of ways. We donate a percentage of our profits to a number of organisations that we believe are doing important work, from trade unions to organisations promoting human rights across the world. Furthermore we have a blog post where we use our platform to promote our ideals and invite people that would want to promote their ideas that we believe educate and guide people to a more compassionate and equal society.

In terms of our environmental policy we try to minimise our footprint on the world as much as possible. We do this in a number of ways. We buy only ethically sourced timber from timber yards close to our workshop, we use recycled materials where we can and limit our energy consumption as much as possible. We also donate to environmental programs and organisations when we can.
